For many years One Challenge has implemented a training called Lifeworkx to help workers process who they are and what God’s purpose is for their lives. “Lifeworkx is a self-discovery based experience where you are the curriculum,” says Steve, Lifeworkx founder and facilitator. Recently an OC worker Alisa developed a version of Lifeworkx targeted at kids answering the question whether a program designed for adults could be reshaped for kids… KIDZWORKX.
First Kidzworkx Training in Southeast Asia
Alisa is certified Lifeworkx trainer. She applied her training to create Lifeworkx children’s version called Kidzworkx! Here are some testimonies of what happened recently when 265 kids did Kidzworkx during a Spiritual Emphasis Week in Southeast Asia:
- “My students really enjoyed the books and asked me to check them out from the library so they could reread them,” one teacher says.
- “We had a theme for each day and a way for the students to respond (journals) as well as an object to remind them of the lesson (shells),” another teacher says.
- “The children focused on godly self-image,” another teacher says.
- One parent shared, “My child really appreciated what you shared to the older grades during Spiritual Emphasis Week too, because I felt like something opened up in my son! My child said he struggles with dyslexia, and when he came back from the ‘My Smarts’ day, he came home and told me his revelation that he’s ‘picture smart!’”
- “Thanks to Alisa, we now have a great ministry for kids available by contacting our Lifeworkx Center here in Colorado Springs,” says Steve.
It’s for everyone!
What a great aspect of Lifeworkx, it’s versatile. It works for children, students, adults, men’s retreats, women’s retreats, student prison ministry, refugee ministry, homeless ministry, and the list go on.
Lifeworkx and Kidzworkx are all about life transformation for everyone.
